Holly H Paulin CFRE

Holly H. Paulin, CFRE

Partner (she/her)

I've been a fundraiser for my entire career, and I've done some pretty cool things: managed a student calling program, closed an 8-figure gift, created successful direct response appeals, run a national event, migrated to a new database, analyzed about a million spreadsheets...

I'm passionate about our work and our sector, unabashedly optimistic about its capacity to change the world, and energized to help our clients as they work to do just that.

Putting the "oli" in Broccoli

Holly H. Paulin, CFRE has been a professional fundraiser for over 20 years, with extensive experience in annual, major, and legacy giving. She’s equally passionate about emotional storytelling and good data analytics, and strongly believes that the best fundraising happens at their intersection.

After working as a front-line fundraiser in arts, healthcare and post-secondary education organizations, Holly has spent the last decade as a fundraising consultant specializing in direct response, strategic development planning, donor communications, and integrated stewardship practices. As a former employee of two of Canada's premier fundraising consulting firms, she’s helped organizations across North America fulfill their missions by raising millions of dollars for social services, international development, health, religious, environmental, arts and culture, and educational causes.

Holly is a Certified Fund Raising Executive, a graduate of Humber College’s Fundraising Management postgraduate program, and holds a B.Sc. from Mount Allison University. She was Co-Chair of AFP Ottawa’s 2021 Fundraising Day conference, a member of the AFP Ottawa Board of Directors and the AFP ICON Education Advisory Committee, and is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences.

We work and live on the traditional and unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg Peoples, on the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi'kmaq Peoples, and on the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples. We also honour and recognize the ancestral territories of all Inuit, Métis, and First Nations Peoples who call Turtle Island home, from coast to coast to coast.

As settlers, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past and are committed to learning, working against colonialism, and moving forward in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
